Civics Club is an 8th grade based club which focuses on community and school awareness. The group completes service projects to better their community. Each year the group spends Friday afternoons visiting Newton Rest Haven in their Adopted Grandparent program. The group also completes a service project for their community. During the 2005-2006 school year, the group knitted baby blankets for the St. John's NICU in Springfield, Illinois. The group also fundraises to pay for their trip to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
